Introducing Medinox

Medinox, Inc. is a San Diego-based pharmaceutical company that is developing new small molecule drugs to treat a wide variety of unmet medical needs including sepsis, arthritis & inflammation, diabetes and sickle cell anemia.

The Company's research and clinical development programs fall into two broad categories:

Nitric oxide neutralizers

  • NOX-100 - injectable compound for septic shock (Phase 1/2a)
  • Oral compounds for type-2 diabetes (pre-clinical)

Novel Prodrug Programs

  • New NSAIDs with improved GI safety profiles
  • MX-1094 - naproxen prodrug (Phase 1 completed)
  • MX-1520 - sickle cell anemia therapeutic (pre-clinical)

Medinox small molecules are protected by a strong patent estate, which includes composition of matter patents for developmental compounds. Twenty-four US patents have been issued and 21 are pending. Eight international patents have been issued with 74 pending.

Medinox has assembled an outstanding Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Board to advise the company in advancing its preclinical and clinical programs. In addition to its own internal research, Medinox has ongoing collaborations with many leading academic institutions.
