San Diego, California (January 15, 2002) Medinox, Inc. announced today that Carolyn Rynard, Ph.D. has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Product Development. In this position, Dr. Rynard will be directly responsible for Medinox's Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CM&C), formulation, analytical methods, and specification development.
Dr. Rynard's career in drug development spans 20 years in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Her broad experience includes project management, formulation, manufacturing, clinical supplies, validation, medical devices, and drug delivery systems.
Before coming to Medinox, Dr. Rynard worked for Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a San Diego, California-based pharmaceutical company where she held various positions of increasing responsibility, serving most recently as Senior Director of Product Development. Prior to joining Amylin, Dr. Rynard held various R&D positions at Baxter Healthcare and at Du Pont.
Dr. Rynard holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Toronto, and a Ph.D. in Physical and Organic Chemistry from Stanford University, Stanford, California.
